This is a personal journal documenting my studies in art - mainly just a place to keep notes and to organize my thoughts better than I could in a handwritten journal (you can't do a search in a paper journal, or post live links). My ultimate goal is oil painting, but I want to start with developing my grasp of the basics in drawing.

Head structure studies
Inspired by Steve Huston demo on New Masters Academy. Had to scumble some white acrylic over the lower part of the right drawing - too much solid black and contrast, too distracting, and had to set off the beard from the black background. White acrylic does some interesting things when scrubbed into water soluble Tombow ink. Can add a very painterly touch to a drawing.
